  • We offer 160 gated on-site spaces. Free of charge and included with your Event Rental. Valet Services are permitted to be contracted and hired.

  • We have a Closed Catering Policy. We ask that you choose one of our Caters on the list. You can learn more about them under our “Catering Partners” page.

  • All Beverage Packages are created in-house. We do not allow outside beverages to be brought on site.

    Beverage Package Options include Hosted Open Bar, Consumption Bar, or Cash Bar. We offer Beer/Wine, House and Premium Packages.

  • We offer Audio Visual Amenities such as on-site rolling TV’s, Projector (Timegate Only) and Microphone Capability in each room.

    Additional AV Vendors are allowed.

  • Elevator access is located on-site. We have a loading dock on the south entrance of the building.

  • We do require at minimum 1 Day Event Insurance by the Host of the Event. Specific Liability terms are listed on the Event Contract.

The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation’s Uncommon Leader Impact Award celebrated Kansas City nonprofit leaders creating meaningful community impact, culminating in an awards event at Zhou B Art Center. A full-building buyout allowed the event to transform multiple spaces into a cohesive, high-impact guest experience, demonstrating Zhou B’s ability to host large-scale awards programs with room for production, dining, programming, and celebration. With Platinum XP leading production and The Prospect KC providing catering, the event showcased how Zhou B can bring together experienced event partners and flexible spaces for a polished, mission-driven experience.

LISC: Thrive

For the past three years, LISC Greater Kansas City has chosen Timegate at Zhou B Art Center KC to host Thrive, its annual celebration of community development and impact. Timegate provides a flexible, art-filled setting for awards, programming, dining, and connection, demonstrating how one space can seamlessly support a large-scale, mission-driven nonprofit event year after year.

Gordon Parks Elementary School’s INSPIRE! fundraiser transformed the Spirit Room Gallery at Zhou B Art Center KC into an evening centered on creativity, education, and community support. The gallery provided an intimate, art-filled setting for fundraising and connection, demonstrating how the Spirit Room can give mission-driven nonprofit events a distinctive experience beyond a traditional event venue.

The Kansas City Jazz Orchestra’s Shaken, Not Stirred: A 007 Jazz Gala brought an immersive, Bond-inspired fundraising experience to Zhou B Art Center, featuring an elegant gala dinner, martinis, dancing, and an interactive art heist before continuing with a live jazz concert at the Gem Theater. The event showcased Zhou B’s ability to turn a nonprofit gala into a creative experience, using the Art Center itself as part of the evening’s theme, entertainment, and guest experience.
