Title of Piece: Infinite Library
Artist: Mark Raddant
Size: 36” x 50”
Medium: Acrylic on Canvas
Price: $3,500
About the Piece:
In 1969 or 70, I did a 5” x 7” watercolor and ink piece that my mom stored and I discovered among her things 50 years later. It now references my youngest son’s fascination with a Borghes short story about a library in the afterlife. Hops I, between those generations, mother and child, did it justice.
About the Artist:
It starts with a few letters nes, gestures, a pattern in broken pavement, and evolves, becomes something new as unveils itself and I don’t stop until I feel it has become “right”, that I have done it justice.
